Delete your SpotTrove account
This page explains how to delete your account in the SpotTrove app for iPhone and Android (listed on Google Play under the developer name All in Simple), and what happens to your data.
Delete it in the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect right away.
- Open SpotTrove and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the round profile button with your initial in the top-right corner of the map. This opens Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and can’t be restored. You’ll be signed out, and you can keep using the map as a guest.
Can’t use the app? Email us
Email hello@spottrove.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us the relay address Apple created (it ends in privaterelay.appleid.com). We’ll delete your account and the data listed below within 30 days and reply when it’s done.
Before you delete: cancel your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription, because Apple and Google handle billing. Cancel it first:
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SpotTrove → Cancel.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SpotTrove → Cancel Subscription.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes, from our database:
- Your account and sign-in details: your email address, and your name and profile-photo link if you signed in with Google.
- Your profile: display name, report counts, and reputation.
- Your saved spots and their labels.
- Your current parked spot and the push-notification token stored with it.
- Your vehicle size setting.
- Your sign reports (type, block, comment, and any photo you attached) and any votes you’ve cast.
- Our record of your subscription status.
What is kept, and for how long
- Anonymous usage events. These carry a random ID created by the app, not your account, so we can’t match them to you. They expire within one year.
- Changes your reports made to the map. If a report already changed how a block is shown, that change stays, but it’s no longer linked to you.
- Purchase records. Apple or Google keeps its own billing records. RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions for us, keeps your purchase history under your old account ID (not your email). Email us if you want us to ask RevenueCat to delete it too.
- Logs and backups. Server and security logs (which can include an IP address) and error reports (which can include your account ID) expire on their own, error reports within 90 days. Routine database backups expire after a short time.
- Other companies. Sign photos you scanned were never stored by us; Anthropic deletes them within 30 days. If you used Sign in with Apple or Google, you can also remove SpotTrove from the apps connected to your Apple ID or Google Account.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- Saved spots: Profile → tap the trash icon next to a saved spot.
- Parked spot: open the block you parked on and tap I’m leaving — clear parking. It is also deleted automatically about 6 hours after you park.
- Anything else (for example, a single report or photo): email hello@spottrove.com and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
