Terms of Service

Welcome to SpotTrove. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SpotTrove mobile application, spottrove.com, and related services (together, the “Service”), provided by SpotTrove (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SpotTrove shows street-parking rules, garage information, and related urban-mobility data on a map. We compile this data from public sources (e.g., NYC Open Data) and third-party providers (e.g., Yelp). The Service is provided for informational purposes only and should not be your sole basis for parking decisions. Always verify on-site signage and your jurisdiction’s posted rules.

2. Eligibility & Account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You may need an account to access certain features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Premium Subscriptions

SpotTrove offers an auto-renewable subscription (“Premium”) with monthly and annual billing options, processed by Apple via your Apple ID. Subscription length, price, and renewal terms are shown in the in-app paywall before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• A 7-day free trial may be offered to new subscribers; trial converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

4. User Submissions

The Service may let you submit reports (e.g., a sign that has changed) or save bookmarks. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You are responsible for what you submit.

5. Acceptable Use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe other people’s rights, scrape our data en masse, or interfere with how the Service runs. We may suspend or end accounts that abuse the Service.

6. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PARKING RULES AND STREET LEGALITY DATA ARE INFORMATIONAL. SPOTTROVE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY RULE OR LEGALITY DETERMINATION IS CURRENT, COMPLETE, OR ACCURATE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR PARKING DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPOTTROVE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$50.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limits, dispute resolution) survive.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
